NSC authorizes soldiers to strike India under clean conditions

On Wednesday, the National Security Committee (NSC) authorized the Armed Forces of Pakistan to undertake corresponding actions in response to Indian air strikes which were targeted several civil zones.

The NSC declaration comes following coordinated missile, air and drone strikes launched by the Indian armed forces on the night of May 6 to 7. The attacks would have targeted several locations in Punjab and Azad Jammu-et-Cachemire, notably Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli and Muzaffarabad.

The strikes have led to the death of civilians – including women and children – and damage to civil infrastructure such as mosques and a hydroelectric installation.

“On the night of May 6, 2025, the Indian armed forces launched coordinated missiles, aeris and drones in several places in the sovereign territory of Pakistan, including Siackot, Shakargarh, Muridke and Bahawalp in Punjab, Kotli and Muzaffad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” Declaration.

“These unlike and unjustified attacks have deliberately targeted civil zones, on the false pretext for the presence of imaginary terrorist camps, resulting in the martyrdom of innocent men, women and children, and causing damage to civil infrastructure, including mosques,” added.

The forum also noted that the act of aggression of India has also caused a serious danger for commercial airlines belonging to the countries of the Fraternal Gulf, endangering the lives of thousands of passengers on board. In addition, the Neelum-Jhelum hydroelectric project has also been deliberately targeted in violation of international conventions.

The NSC called on the attacks “not provoked, loose and illegal war” and stressed that it reserves the right to respond under article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations – which affirms the law of a Member State to self -defense.

The press release added that Pakistan Air Force had shot down five Indian fighter planes and a drone during its defensive operations and reaffirmed the country’s desire to respond to new provocations. He also criticized India for endangering international civil aviation and violated international humanitarian standards by targeting civil zones.

“Pakistan categorically rejected Indian allegations claiming the presence of terrorist camps on its territory,” added the press release.

The NSC also declared that immediately after the attack on April 22, Pakistan had made a sincere offer for a credible, transparent and neutral investigation, which was unfortunately not accepted. International media staff had already visited these “imaginary terrorist camps” on May 6, 2025, and other visits were scheduled for May 7, 2025.

However, apprehending his exposed lie and, without the slightest evidence of his statements, the Indian management, devoid of all morals, has now been to attack innocent civilians in order to satisfy his delusional thoughts and his short-sighted political objectives, he added.

Calling the international community to take note of it, the NSC has urged world powers to hold India responsible for what it described as a deliberate escalation with potential regional consequences.
