The National Security Committee (NSC) has strongly condemned the acts of aggression of Israel, which threatened to light a broader conflict and reaffirm the right of Iran to self -defense.
Predictive by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the NSC met in Islamabad on Monday to assess the developing regional security situation following the Israeli military assault and American strikes on Iranian nuclear installations.
In a statement published by the Prime Minister’s office, the NSC expressed its deep regret that Israeli strikes came at a time when constructive negotiations between Iran and the United States were underway.

“These reckless actions have increased tensions, threatening to trigger a broader conflict and reduce the possibilities of dialogue and diplomacy,” the statement said.
The Committee reaffirmed Iran’s law to self -defense, as indicated in the Charter of the United Nations, and called on all the parties concerned to exercise a deduction and to return to the diplomatic channels.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining international humanitarian laws and human rights, urging the end of hostilities by peaceful means.

The NSC presented condolences to the Iranian government and people for the loss of innocent lives and wished a rapid recovery for the wounded.
The Committee also expressed its serious concerns concerning American military strikes on the Iranian nuclear sites of Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan on Sunday, calling them violations of the resolutions of the IAEA, international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

The NSC has approved Pakistan’s preparation to continue efforts and initiatives to promote regional peace and stability, concluded the declaration.
The meeting was held in the middle of an increase in disorders in the Middle East, triggered by the attack of Israel against Iran and was further intensified by the recent American strikes on the nuclear sites of Tehran.
‘Operation midnight’
On Sunday, the United States bombed three Iranian nuclear sites – Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan – using the B -2 Bombardiers of the US Air Force.
The United States has launched 75 precision guided ammunition, including bunker bombs and more than two dozen Tomahawk missiles against three Iranian nuclear sites, informed the president of joint staff chiefs, General Dan Caine.
Iran condemned the attack and responded with a missile dam targeting Israeli targets, injured civilians and causing significant destruction in Tel Aviv.
