Nurses under the probe to seek an Eid bonus

Islamabad:

Following the decision to grant an additional basic salary to employees of the Authority Capital Development from the first to 16th year during Eidul Azha, the president of the ADC also approved a similar fee of a basic salary for all the Muslim officers of the 17th year and more.

The decision will also apply to employees of the contract and daily salary, and an official notification has been issued in this regard. In addition, the members of the ADC board of directors, who are on a deputation, will also be beneficiaries of an additional basic salary.

Sources reveal that additional salary payments for all ADC employees and officers on EIDUL Azha will cost the authority about RS365.5 million, with RS235m allocated to employees from 1-16 to the 1st to the 16th year and RS30M for agents of the 17th year and more.

It is reported that the ADC has become particularly lucrative for officers deputies from various departments, in particular members of the board of directors. In particular, the officers deposited at the CDA are also awarded plots in the D-Block sector of Islamabad after six months of service, although ADC employees are not eligible for land after finishing at least 10 years of service.

Sources point out that different eligibility standards exist for permanent ADC employees and those who have the deputation. This disparity makes CDA publications very desirable among the superior officers of other departments.

A senior officer of the capital Development Authority (CDA) shared an interesting office prescription, revealing that more than six nurses from the Capital Hospital, serving from BS-17 to 19, visited the office for the financing of members at the headquarters of the ADC two days ago. The nurses asked that, like the employees of BS-1 to 15, they also obtain an additional basic salary as a man of Eid.

However, instead of their request, the nurses were accused of having violated the departmental discipline and an official ministerial investigation was ordered against them. This measure was taken despite the fact that before the issuance of the investigation prescription, the ADC had already officially approved the fees for all the officers of the 17th year and more.

Given this approval, even if the disciplinary measures had initially a basis, the acceptance of the nurses’ request made the investigation unjustifiable and aimless.

The president of the ADC could not be attached for his version despite repeated attempts.
