- RTX 5060 Ti, unexpected from Nvidia, has a reference leak revealing its performance jump on the RTX 4060 Ti
- It would be up to 14% faster using the vulkan graphic rendering API
- It should be cheaper than its predecessor, but can face inflation given the current GPU market trend
We are still waiting for an official announcement of the RTX 5060 Ti GPU of Nvidia, which has had several rumors and leaks recently. However, a new leak gave us a new overview of expectations concerning its performance.
As WCCFTECH points out, a new geekbench 6 leak indicates that the RTX 5060 TI is up to 14% faster than its predecessor, the RTX 4060 Ti. These references were carried out in Opencl and Vulkan: the latter is a popular graphic rendering API used through several games, and the next Blackwell GPU has scored 140,147 points in use.
As the reference results show, the RTX 4060 TI scored 122,534 points to Vulkan, which makes its successor 13% more quickly – and although this is not a significant margin, the new GPU is supposed to be the cheaper option with 16 GB and 8 GB models.
It should also be noted that all GPUs in the RTX 5000 series have the advantage of Nvidia’s new multi-trame generation compared to the previous generation, granting a better executive interpolation experience (additional executives generated by AI between the original frameworks). It is certainly not perfect, especially with the recent complications of the driver, but the functionality will be useful for the players once everything is in good shape.
The capacity of VRAM of 16 GB can be confusing: the RTX 5070 (which is the GPU of higher level) offers 12 GB of VRAM with a 192 -bit memory bus, while the RTX 5060 Ti, should have 16 GB of VRAM with a 128 -bit memory bus. It is a total speculation, but the differences in VRAM could be due to the differences in memory bus, with the 192 -bit memory bus from the RTX 5070 having a much better bandwidth and therefore being able to manage with only 12 GB of VRAM.
However, none of these rumors will change the fact that the GPU market is undoubtedly in its worst state of all time. Thus, even if the RTX 5060 Ti is less expensive than its predecessor, there is no guarantee that it will remain at the retail price.
None of this will be relevant, if the RTX 5060 Ti cannot stay at the launch price
Regardless of its potential performance jump over its preceding counterpart, the price of the RTX 5060 TI will be the dealbreaker for many budgetary players: I do not only refer to its launch price – and I hope that the price of $ 429 / approximately £ 330 / approximately $ 687 is correct – but the price of third -party partner cards sold in several businesses.
The new GPU ranges of Nvidia and AMD have met with a meticulous exam, because almost none of these GPUs are available for the purchase at retail. This had taken place long before the entry into force of Trump’s last prices, due to weakness and high demand – so that the chances of this trend continue with the RTX 5060 TI are very high.
This may be much worse if Nvidia does not have a reference card provided for the new GPU: the RTX 5070 TI does not notably have a founding editing model, which are cards designed and sold directly with Team Green, and this means that consumers must count on third -party retailers selling third -party models. A rehearsal of this is a potentially dangerous decision in a GPU climate where scalpeurs and inflation are at their worst.
We are supposed to be a few weeks before an official revelation and launch, so we can have our answers as soon as possible … I hope Nvidia does not breathe it, because PC players cruelly need solutions at significant prices.
