- RTX 5060 Ti of Nvidia would again have versions of 16 GB and 8 GB
- It is now said that the 16 GB version will arrive first, later in March, and the 8 GB model in the first half of April
- There will be concerns of this loading of 8 GB, but we must not forget the other VRAM specifications which are relevant here
The NVIDIA RTX 5060 TI is apparently the next Blackwell graphics card to be sold – finally, after the imminent RTX 5070 which arrives at the beginning of March – and it will be produced in 16 GB and 8 GB flavors.
The WCCFTECH brings a word – enter the salishaker and use generously – from unnamed sources that NVIDIA would intend to publish the RTX 5060 TI 16 GB version, in the first half of March. The 8 GB model will then arrive the following month, although it should be in the first half of April.
Details of the basic specifications are not provided here, in particular, except to guess that these graphics cards will be built on the GB206 chip as before (Blackwell silicon which is a level below GB205, the engine of the RTX 5070).
What we learn, however, is that Nvidia is supposed to stick to a 128 -bit memory bus, which is the same as the RTX 4060 Ti models.
If you think it is disappointing that the VRAM capacity (RAM video) and the bus specifications are unchanged, well, don’t forget that the rumor mill think that Nvidia uses GDDR7 with its RTX 5060 models, faster video memory present in the existing Blackwell range.
Because it is much faster – operating at 28 Gbit / s, rather than 18 Gbit / s with the RTX 4060 Ti – the overall bandwidth will be considerably more robust with the RTX 5060 Ti, more than 50% more quickly in theory. So, don’t worry about a lack of performance on the VRAM front, in short.
Finally, we are told that the RTX 5060 TI will have a power consumption of 180W, which is a step compared to its predecessor, but only by around 20W. It will always be a GPU that can be executed with a relatively modest PSU, in other words, and apparently, the RTX 5060 TI will also have boards that use a traditional 8 -pin power connector to perform a relatively without hassle upgrade. (This despite certain previous speculations indicating that Nvidia would force the new 12V-2X6 connector for all Blackwell GPUs, although it is present on some 5060 Ti cards, we are told).
Analysis: even more controversy, potentially
This is not the first time that we have heard rumors on the RTX 5060 Ti reflecting the RTX 4060 Ti with variants of 16 GB and 8 GB. And just like the Lovelace Cards of previous generation, this means that the XX60 Ti graphics card can have more true than the class XX70 – 16 GB model against 12 GB – If you pay for RTX 5060 Ti more.
This brings us to Price, where the WCCFTECH tells us that nothing concrete has yet been heard on the vineyard. The RTX 5060 TI will obviously have to start a PDSF considerably less than the RTX 5070, which is $ 549 /539 £, and the Supposition of WCCFTECH from $ 400 to $ 500 (the latter for high -end cards of 16 GB) seems right.
I suppose that Nvidia will not have yet made this final decision, and I most likely wait to see how the RX 9070 models, or even RX 9060 – which would be to broadcast during the GPU event of AMD later this week – for their PDS.
The price of variant 8 GB of RTX 5060 TI could be a delicate question, because there were a lot of complaints concerning the RTX 4060 Ti underlying for video memory with this VRAM pool. Now we are an entire generation, so Nvidia sticks to the same load will go down like a lead ball with a lot of PC players, I can guarantee it.
Of course, the overall increase in the speed of VRAM provided by the introduction of GDDR7 (in theory) must be taken into account, as I have already observed – and the same goes for the new tips of Nvidia to make the most of video memory with the Blackwell generation. But I suppose that some players will be difficult to persuade the idea that simply on a raw capacity front, 8 GB seems too thin for any real future here (even in the game 1080p).
I am getting ahead of myself here, however – we have to see what Nvidia reveals first, of course, even if the vineyard seems fairly consistent with its rumors here (which tends to be a sign, it is on money, although this is in no way a guarantee).
What is also interesting here is that there is no mention of the RTX 5060, and when it could happen. If the flavor of 8 GB of RTX 5060 Ti does not appear before mid-April, it can mean that the RTX 5060 vanilla could be pushed in May, perhaps? These other rumors on delays for NVIDIA RTX 5060 models seem in any case supported by this last speculation element.
