Jacy Jayne has been the NXT Women’s Champion for over 130 days and has all the confidence in the world that her reign will remain intact once Stand & Deliver ends on Saturday night.
Jayne’s hopes of battling Kendal Gray or Lola Vice one-on-one were dashed on Wednesday when NXT General Manager Rob Stone announced she would defend the title in a triple threat match. Gray and Vice’s match to determine a #1 contender ended in controversy as one competitor retired and the other was pinned.

To make things right, Stone placed both challengers in the match against Jayne at Stand & Deliver.
Jayne told PK Press Club Digital before the decision was made that no matter who she faced, she was confident she was going to come out on top.
“No, because I already beat them both,” she replied when asked if it mattered who she was going to face. “So I’m going to do the same thing I did in the past and I’m going to win and remain your NXT Women’s Champion.”
Jayne is in her second run as NXT Women’s Champion. She defeated Tatum Paxley at NXT Gold Rush in November to restart the next reign. She is one of four women to have won the NXT Women’s Championship at least twice. Roxanne Perez, Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler each accomplish the feat.

The New Jersey native is relishing the opportunity to become NXT Women’s Champion and prove the doubters wrong.
“Well, I feel like I was seriously underestimated and people doubted me and when I won the title they were like, ‘What’s going on? Why Jacy?’ And I think in the last 10-11 months that I’ve been champion, I’ve proven everyone wrong,” she told PK Press Club Digital.
“I was always destined for this place. It was just a matter of time. I was waiting for my right moment and I love proving people wrong and I love making grown men cry.”
