NYT TODAY Connections (Game # 719) – Answers
The answers to today’s connections, the game # 719, are…
- Yellow: Hands Bat, club, staff, stick
- Green: They are on a roll! Leaf, ribbon, adhesive tape, toilet paper
- Blue: common loot items Hat, tee, tote, bottle of water
- Purple: words before “shack” Caddie, love, radio, shake
- My note: Easy
- My score: 1 error
By articles of common loot, I suppose that the connections mean that free companies give with their logo that you will use once, then put a closet somewhere and forget.
Or, in the case of a bottle or a cup of water, take the work and add to all the other “loot articles” that your colleagues have also put to work because they do not want them in the house.
I didn’t think about it, however, when I assembled the group; I thought it was things to take at the beach and I was wrong that I had the radio instead of the tee.
The radio was also my dead angle which prevented me from seeing words before “Shack”, a group that contained one of the best comedies of all time and a deadly worm that will be in my head for days without having to play it – stay crazy!
How did you do today? Let me know in the comments below.
Responses of yesterday’s NYT connections (Thursday May 29, match # 718)
- Yellow: greet Applaud, greet, honor, rent
- Green: Apt, adjusted, appropriate, right
- Blue: Verbs to finish the donuts Gel, glaze, powder, sprinkle
- Purple: what “buff” could mean Passionate, muscular, naked, Polish
What is NYT connections?
Nyt Connections is one of the many increasingly popular puns produced by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four elements that share something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite hard and generally very difficult.
On the positive side, you do not technically need to resolve the last, because you can respond to it by an elimination process. In addition, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you a little breathing margin.
However, it is a little more involved than something like Wordle, and there are a lot of opportunities so that the game makes you trip with towers. For example, pay attention to homophones and other word games that could disguise the answers.
It is playable for free via the NYT games site on the desktop or mobile.
