I have a parent who would have been triggered by today’s puzzle because they suffer from Koumpounophobia.
In their case, it is not so much a fear of the button as much as the disgust of its small plasticity with the Bitty Itty holes.
You might think that it would make them have clothes that have pimples and that they would control an entire clothing wardrobe using the marvel of the Velcro, but you would be wrong. It’s very confusing.
By probing their condition, it turned out that their real phobia was not at all buttons – they were tilted, and these are much easier to avoid, as long as you avoid campsites and the fishing industry on the high seas.
