Nyt Strands Today (Match # 552) – The answers
The answers to today’s strands, the game # 552, are…
- SOCKS
- BLANKET
- Ankle boots
- PULLOVER
- Mittens
- Spangram: knitting project
- My note: Hard
- My score: Perfect
Like many players, I guess it was the growing spangram that I saw first – well, it was the word “knitting” that I spotted, rather than the extravagance knitted project of 15 full letters.
With a spangram taking a huge part of the board, I expected the rest of the research to be simple, but it made me hunt for a while with its twists and turns – a bit like, I imagine, the twists and knitting turnets to produce boots or mittens.
The scarf was notable by its absence – replaced by the rarest socks; Is it because scarves are too easy to knit?

- Skate
- SPANGRAM: Sports items
