Nyt Strands Today (match # 507) – The answers
The answers to today’s strands, the game # 507, are…
- Queso
- SALSA
- Guacamole
- Houmous
- Fondue
- Tzatziki
- SPANGRAM: Fête diving
- My note: Easy
- My score: Perfect
The first word I saw on today’s grid was the sauce and keeping the theme in mind, I was certain that it would be correct.
Then, I remembered the difference in chip in the United Kingdom – in short, fries = chips, chips = chips, ketchup = sauce – and deduces that we were looking for things in which you could soak fleas (or chips).
There is a lot of controversy in the selections of the strands, whatever your nationality. Houmous is not something in which you would dive of shavings surely or fondue – which is famous with cubes of bread.
Anyway, it was a fun search for interesting words. I don’t think I would have found the tzatziki brilliantly spelled without the help of being my last word.
Responses of the Strands du Nyt yesterday (Tuesday July 22, match # 506)
- FISH
- PUMP
- Rocks
- RESERVOIR
- FILTERED
- Plants
- THERMOMETER
- Spangram: aquarium
