- KEEN

- STAN
- SPANGRAM: YOUR BIGGEST FAN
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 2 tips
Music plays a huge role in my life, but I can never imagine being so obsessed with a person that I would ever be described as a STAN or a DEVOTEE, much less a MANIAC.
STAN is an interesting addition to the canon of words to describe someone who is YOUR BIGGEST FAN, as the spangram goes – it didn’t exist in that form until 2000, when it appeared as the title of an Eminem song about, yes, an obsessive fan. It has since become part of the established terminology around the fandom, showing once again that language is an ever-evolving beast.
I was having trouble solving this Strands puzzle once again and needed some clues to get started. The very long spangram didn’t help, nor did the fact that I couldn’t disentangle MANIAC from its jumble of letters.
