NYT Strands today (game #701) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #701, are…
- PENGUIN
- OSTRICH
- RHEA
- CONDOR
- PELICAN
- CASSOWARY
- SPANGRAM: BIG BIRDS
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 1 clue
After spotting PENGUINS and OSTRICHES, I initially thought we were looking for flightless birds.
After touching a white and failing to take flight myself, I figured out a clue and received RHEA, a bird I know nothing about. It wasn’t until I saw CONDOR that the penny dropped and I finally spotted the spangram.
My last word was CASOAR – another bird I didn’t know and exploited in hope rather than knowledge. Throughout this entire tour, I felt very ignorant about this particular herd.
