- DULL

- SPANGRAM: WATCHING THE PAINT DRY
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
This game came with the longest spangram we’ve seen since October, with the 16-letter WATCHINGPAINTDRY taking up a huge chunk of the board.
This spangram appeared to me as if it were in the shape of a football/soccer goal, which is perhaps why I thought the whole quiz was made up of words that describe the deadly performances of my team, Brighton & Hove Albion, this season as we slump in the middle of the league’s ‘Boo-ooo-ring’ after a never-ending succession of draws and defeats which will hopefully change tomorrow afternoon.
Anyway, I digress. I’m sure the theme was much more general than a dig at the English Premier League, but I had to maintain my interest somehow.
