NYT Strands today (game #629) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #629, are…
- TIGERS
- CRIMSON
- QUAKERS
- LIONS
- BEAR
- BULLDOGS
- SPANGRAM: SPORTSTEAM
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
Even though I had no idea what today’s theme was, I found it very easy to find all the different teams starting with the TIGERS, who were conveniently placed at the bottom of the square.
I guess we were looking for the names of SPORTSTEAMS affiliated with Ivy League colleges, something that’s not really that well known here in the UK, where I’m based.
It was interesting to see some unique nicknames among the usual fierce animals in QUAKERS, which is associated with the University of Pennsylvania sports teams, and CRIMSON, which is associated with the Hogwarts team…
…and Harvard.
