The Olympic flame is extinguished today, before being reignited for the start of the Paralympic Winter Games in 12 days.
Today’s spangram mimics the shape of an Olympic torch (or maybe someone on a skeleton bob, it’s hard to tell) and includes the many rituals that feature in a typical CLOSING CEREMONY or MEDAL presentation.
Notably absent from this research were speeches – something there is a bit too much of at Olympic ceremonies, which, much like today’s spangram, are unnecessarily long.

- Hop
- BARLEY

- YEAST

- WHEAT
