NYT Strands today (game #767) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #767, are…
- PASTEL
- FRESCO
- ACRYLIC
- WATERCOLOR
- TEMPERA
- SPANGRAM: MEDIUM
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
Judging by the theme, this research would either be about basketball or painting, but I hadn’t anticipated that it would actually be about art.
The incredibly basic left-to-right spangram didn’t change things much, but spotting ENAMEL, then quickly after PASTEL, did – and from there it was all about finding different types of painting mediums.
Everything was going well until the brakes gave the last word. I had never heard of TEMPERA (tempurayes) and it took me a few aborted attempts before I finally said the word (for the record, tempera is a permanent, quick-drying, water-based paint medium, historically created by mixing pigments with a binder, usually egg yolk).
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Wednesday, April 8, Game #766)
- BLANKET
- QUILT
- AFGHAN
- THROW
- SPREAD
- CONSOLATOR
- SPANGRAM: BED LINEN
