NYT Strands today (game #662) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #662, are…
- LORDS
- Drummers
- WOMEN
- PIPERS
- SWANS
- LADIES
- SPANGRAM: CHRISTMAS DAYS
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
A lovely festive search that didn’t pose too many challenges once it became obvious what Carol’s theme was.
Of course, it was missing a partridge, geese, doves and my favorite phrase to sing: five golden rings. It’s a strange song in many ways, the gifts of birds, milk and bagpipes I understand, but who would want lords jumping around?
It’s also a song that has evolved a lot over the years – the first version included colly birds – so we’re long overdue for an update. Perhaps seven Apple Watches instead of SWANS and surely a Samsung Galaxy tablet in a handstand would be more desirable than a partridge?
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Wednesday December 24, Match #661)

- COMFORTABLE
- RELAXING
- PLEASANT
- HOT
- SOFT
- FRIENDLY
- SPANGRAM: SNUGASABUG
