NYT Strands today (game #592) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #592, are…
- SPORTY
- GEOGRAPHY
- MUSIC
- HISTORY
- MOVIES
- NEWS
- SPANGRAM: TRIVIANUIT
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: Perfect
I had both “sport” and “history” as non-gaming words before seeing SPORTS and HISTORY – but once I did, I knew it would be about collecting the cheeses one by one, just like we did with Trivial pursuit at the time.
Personally, I love TRIVIANIGHT and it’s one of the things that kept me going during the pandemic, when I regularly connected online with friends and family and we each took turns quizzing each other, although it was often very different from the categories in this game, with murder, famous noses, Welsh castles and trousers all featuring in a parent’s quiz.
It was nice to see a spangram extending from side to side after yesterday’s unsatisfying snake, a feature that added to an enjoyable and just slightly tricky game.
