NYT Strands today (game #766) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #766, are…
- BLANKET
- QUILT
- AFGHAN
- THROW
- SPREAD
- CONSOLATOR
- SPANGRAM: BED LINEN
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
“We’re going undercover” must be about spies, I thought, so I went looking for covert-ops-related words like mole, agent, and mission. Then I found the word COVER and realized I was looking for the wrong type of cover.
Then the letter Q helped me find QUILT – although I admit I first found the word “quest” which is not a game.
Today’s spangram was obvious, but it still took me a while to get from “fabric” to “bed” and finally to BEDS, which made me a little sleepy.
