- CALM
- COACH
- DINING
- OBSERVATION
- SLEEPER
- SPANGRAM: PASSENGER TRAIN
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 2 tips
Sometimes seeing part of a word is what helps you find it in its entirety. This was the case today when I worked backwards from TION to get the longest game word OBSERVATION.
After finding SILENT and not understanding its meaning, I followed two tips to get COACH and DINNER before landing on this extra-long spangram – which, very pleasantly, was sort of shaped like a train.
The best thing about Amtrak’s OBSERVATION car is that it has seats facing sideways rather than in the direction of travel, making the view the star, something unique in my train travel experience.
