NZ vs Pak – Khushdil Shah sentenced to a collision with Zakary Foulkes to Christchurch

Pakistan Allrounder Khushdil Shah was sentenced to a fine of 50% of its match costs for breaking the ICC code of driving during their first T20i against New Zealand in Christchurch.

Khushdil also received three demerit points. It was his first offense during a period of 24 months.

The incident occurred during the eighth of Pakistan’s sleeves when Khushdil hit the third Foulkes ball afterwards. He ran into the launcher, who turned to him, with his left shoulder. The referee had a word with Khushdil after the strikers ran two.

Since Khushdil has accepted the sanctions leveled by the referees and match referee Jeff Crowe, no official audience was necessary.

Khushdil obtained a score in Pakistan with 32 out of 30 balls in the first T20i, but had little support from the other end because they were packed for 91. Tim Seifert and Finn Allen operators then helped New Zealand to continue the target in 10.1 Overs to give them an advance of 1-0.

Pakistan has opted for a team of new looks for the tour of New Zealand, with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan who fell as they try to try a more “high-risk” approach.

They hope for a turnaround while the action moves to Dunedin for the second T20i.

The two teams will also compete in three ODIs after the five T20is.
