“Ahhhh good thing that guys do not compete against girls where he would take all the gold medals !!” She wrote in October 2017.

The bile post came a few days after the end of the 2017 world artistic gymnastics championships in Canada. Biles did not participate, but the American women Morgan Hurd and Jade Carey were both medalists. Hurd won gold in the individual competition. The XIO Ruoteng in China won gold in the individual individual of men.

Gaines, which hosts the podcast “Gaines for Girls” on Outkick, pulled its own reaction.

“Oop don’t you hate when your me spent completely undermines your current absurd argument?” Gaines wrote on X. “How did 2025 Simone reconcile with the fact that Simone 2017 was a” really sick intimidator “by his own standard?”

Simone Biles Spars with Riley Gaines on the debate of Trans athletes, launches personal attacks: “ really sick ” ‘

The round trips started on Friday while Biles, apparently improvised, pulled a post on X targeting sheaths in the middle of the tumult over the domination of a transgender athlete in the Softball of Minnesota High School.

“@Riley_gaines_ you are really sick, this whole campaign because you have lost a race,” wrote Biles. “Right straight, I should build the Trans community and perhaps find a way to make sports inclusive or create a new avenue where trans people feel safe in sport. Perhaps a transgender category in all sports !!

“But instead … you intimidate them … One thing for sure is only anyone in sport is safe with you !!!!!”

The post has attracted a fierce backlash in the past few days.
