American freestyle skier Jaelin Kauf claimed her second medal of the Milan Cortina 2026 Games, winning a silver in the first-ever women’s dual moguls final on Saturday.
Kauf, a 29-year-old Colorado native, faced 2022 individual Olympic champion Jakara Anthony of Australia in the final. She finished with a score of 15, settling for silver behind Anthony’s 20.

This is Kauf’s third Olympic medal, made entirely of silver. She won her first silver medal at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games in the individual moguls event. She won another silver medal in the same event on Tuesday.
The event, where competitors navigate a series of moguls and perform a series of flips and spins over two jumps, has been part of the Winter Olympics since 1992, but for the first time the doubles moguls event incorporated a racing element where competitors race down the mountain head-to-head, with the highest score advancing.

US OLYMPIANS WIN TOP MEDALS IN WOMEN’S BOBS AT WINTER GAMES
The podium is completed by 20-year-old American freestyle skier Elizabeth Lemley, who days earlier beat Anthony in the individual final to win her first Olympic gold medal. She became the first American woman to win moguls gold since Hannah Kearney in 2010.
It was also the third gold medal in U.S. women’s moguls history.
Saturday’s final represented an impressive performance for Team USA’s moguls team this year, as the two freestyle skiers stood on the podium together for the second time at these Games.

“This team has been on the top step of the podium at the Olympics for a long time, since Hannah Kearney retired,” Kauf said after her individual medal on Wednesday. “So it’s really cool to finally get this and have one and two.”
