Royal author Omid Scobie, often seen as the spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has marked his return to social media after months of silence.
The author, who has written books including Finding Freedom and Endgame, appeared on Monday amid the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s ongoing crisis.
Harry and Meghan, who founded their Archewell Foundation (now renamed Archewell Philanthropies) in 2020, are currently facing an exodus of employees, including their loyal assistant, James Holt, and their 11th but prominent publicist Meredith Maines.
On X, Omid tweeted: “So… what did I miss? [raised hand emoji]”.
The curiosity of social media users and fans was piqued as they wondered if there was big news on the way for the Sussexes or if there was a book in the works.
He had also taken some time to respond to the responses he received under his post. The author went ahead and shared another post to mark the end of the year.
Omid has launched a brutal swipe at the British press for the media’s coverage of former Prince Andrew and the “usual pile-on” aimed at Meghan.
“A thought for 2026: perhaps the British press could start reserving its vitriol for those facing allegations or convictions of rape, child abuse and criminal acts – rather than the usual attacks directed at migrants, successful non-white people and women they don’t like.
The 44-year-old journalist claimed he often used his contacts to gain insight into the Sussexes’ lives, but was not close friends with them.
It’s possible that Omid is back to promote his next project.
Some fans have even suggested that there might be a part 2 for End of game it’s in the works, which is why he’s becoming active on social media.
Although nothing is confirmed, fans believe that there is some sort of news that Omid is sitting on.
The book dealt with many themes, including how Prince Harry was portrayed as the royal betrayed by his family.
There were revelations about tensions between King Charles and Prince William and it also addressed the issue of the “racial controversy” surrounding the color of Prince Archie’s skin before he was born.
If End of game 2 is somehow on the way, this could also suggest that there could be an update not only on Archewell but also on the reunion between Harry and King Charles.
