- OnePlus revealed more details on the OnePlus 15, including it uses a snapdragon 8 elite gen 5 chipset
- It is the successor to the Snapdragon 8 flagship elite used in the Galaxy S25 series
- The OnePlus 15 also has a cooling rate of 165 Hz but lack of Hasselblad brand
We expect the OnePlus 15 to be completely revealed soon, but the company has already revealed many elements, as during the last Qualcomm event (via the rod), it announced that this phone would use a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
This chipset is the new high -end model of Qualcomm, and it is the successor of the Snapdragon 8 elite found in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series and many other best Android phones of 2025. So, using this, the OnePlus 15 should make these devices beat in terms of power.
We have detailed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in another article, but according to Qualcomm, this chipset should be even more powerful than the A19 Pro feeding the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and it could be particularly ideal for games and the lifespan of the prolonged battery.
Refresh the rate and the details of the camera
But OnePlus has also revealed other details on his next phone, including that he has a cooling rate of 165 Hz, which is much higher than the 120 Hz of OnePlus 13 and most other flagship phones.
The rear -rear camera block has also been presented, and this is a design that we do not like, so it is a less promising element of the handset.
And an element that we do not yet know what to do with is the lack of Hasselblad brand, with OnePlus saying that it uses an internal detail engine instead, which apparently uses “advanced algorithms and powerful processors”. So what impact it will have and if it will be an upgrade or demotion remains to be seen.
We hope we discover it soon, because more information on the OnePlus 15 will be revealed “in the coming weeks”. Oh, and if you are wondering what happened at OnePlus 14, number 4 is considered a bad luck in China, which probably explains why they jump directly at the 15th.
