Onijah Andrew Robinson, an American who went to Karachi to marry a 19-year-old local man, had publicly demanded $ 100,000 to help facilitate her return to the United States and “repair Pakistan”.

Robinson, 33, arrived in Karachi on October 11, 2024, intended to marry Nidal Ahmed Memon, whom she met on social networks.

During a press conference at the Office of the Social Protection Organization of Chhipa, Robinson said: “Give me money. The government should give me $ 100,000.”
She said she married Memon online and insisted that her intentions were not financially motivated.
Robinson’s son Jeremiah revealed that his mother suffered from bipolar disorder and urged her to go home. He expressed his concern about the representation of the media in his situation.
The authorities have since transferred Robinson to the psychiatric district of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for Evaluation.
