The United Arab Emirates (Water) have announced changes in its visa policy, including a compulsory online application process for all types of visas and processing costs.
According to a spokesperson for the water embassy, visa costs are set at $ 69 per person and candidates must submit their visa requests via an online portal, Express News reported.
During the submission, candidates will receive a notification and must provide the required documents, including a bank statement with a minimum balance of $ 5,000 or an equivalent amount.
In addition, candidates are required to provide hotel or accommodation evidence, as well as a confirmed return ticket when submitting their request to the embassy.
A passport with a minimum validity of six months is also required, and visa costs must be paid to an al-Falah bank account.
New guidelines for children’s visas have also been introduced.
Children under the age of 5 are not required to visit the visa center, while aged 6 to 15 will have their photo taken in the center.
Children aged 15 or over must visit the center in person.
Biometric verification and visa treatment will be completed in the visa center, according to the embassy spokesperson.
This updated policy aims to rationalize the visa application process and guarantee better security through biometric controls.
