Open: Matt Fitzpatrick Dunks in spectacular chipe

Matt Fitzpatrick made a miraculous birdie on the 16th hole in the first round of the championship open to the Royal Portrush on Thursday.

Fitzpatrick, 30, struck a capricious iron shot which left him 13 meters from the pin and at the bottom of a hill. When he aligned himself to hit his second blow, he was well below the hole.

The Birdie moved Fitzpatrick in equality for first place at 4 sous. Fitzpatrick is tied with Jacob Skov Olesen and Haotong Li, who are when writing these lines at the top of the ranking.
