Islamabad:
Following continuous rains, the water level of the Rawal dam increased sharply on Tuesday, encouraging the administration of the district to open its spills to maintain safe rejection levels.
According to the administration of the district, the recent rains caused a significant increase in the water level of the dam, which reached 1,752 feet. In response, the authorities opened the spills to regulate the flow and prevent the risks of overflow.
A spokesperson for the administration said that the water spill would continue in accordance with the limits prescribed to guarantee a controlled rejection of the reservoir.
