- Changes to the ChatGPT web app suggest ChatGPT tasks could be incoming
- A dedicated dashboard can focus on job search, preparation and training
- The company already offers OpenAI certifications to improve the skills of 10 million Americans by 2030.
OpenAI is reportedly set to begin testing a new “Jobs” feature in ChatGPT to help users focus on career development, providing training and development opportunities and making career changes easier.
Tech industry exporter Tibor Blaho noted changes to ChatGPT’s web app, suggesting it could be OpenAI’s next project after recently unveiling a dedicated health dashboard, which ties into data from Apple’s HealthKit, MyFitnessPal, Peloton, and more.
And it has been suggested that the new Tasks Dashboard could work similarly, accessible via a new tab in the sidebar with its own experiences and integrations.
Does OpenAI work on ChatGPT tasks?
By introducing a new Jobs tool, OpenAI could help users improve their resumes and cover letters, identify suitable positions, show them how to stand out with development plans, and compare job opportunities based on their goals.
The company has already experimented with similar tools. In September 2025, Applications CEO Fidji Simo announced plans to expand the OpenAI jobs platform, which connects employers with people with specific AI skills.
“And we will use AI to find the perfect match between what companies need and what workers can offer,” Simo wrote.
At the same time, the company lifted the lid on the new OpenAI certification program to advance its goal of certifying 10 million Americans by 2030.
A more centralized jobs dashboard was already hinted at in that announcement, when Simo said: “We still have a long way to go, but this is an important step in the right direction.”
OpenAI hasn’t officially announced the work on a jobs platform, so no timeline is clear yet, but the fact that changes are already being spotted means it could be sooner rather than later.
