The New York Voltger signed the Voltueur Juan Soto to the greatest contract in the history of professional sport to strengthen their alignment this offseason, but the World Series champion AJ Pierzynski is concerned about their pitching staff.
He said Soto would have an impact and express concerns about those of the mound.
“I think that (Soto Will) has a significant impact because of the bat that he brings and the bats, the state of mind he has. The only thing I put on the dishes, who will present? Who will be their starting launcher?” Pierzynski asked during a recent appearance on “Do’t @ Me with Dan Dakich d’Outkick”.

“(Sean) Manaea is already injured, Clay Holmes is their starter of the opening day, will he be able to launch all year? And then you worry about the health of Senga (Kodai) who missed a lot. They have already lost Frankie Montas for a bunch of time, who will be their starting pitch? This is the only thing I worry.”
Manaea, who signed again with the team on a three -year contract, underwent a right oblique tension and should return at one point in April.
Montas, an acquisition of free agent, underwent a high quality right lat strain and was prevented from throwing 6 to 8 weeks in mid-February.
Holmes has spent the last three seasons and more with the New York Yankees as a high -level effect and closed matches for them at the points of his mandate. During his seven -year career with pirates and Pittsburgh Yankees, Holmes only started four games and will now be invoked as a key member of the DETC starting rotation.
When he signed with the free agency dishes, Holmes returned to a starting launcher, after he came to the pirate system as a starter.
Senga would probably have been the start of the opening day on Holmes, but he launched a single regular season match last year due to an injury, and the dishes are careful with him entering the season. Last season, Senga treated shoulder injury, triceps and calves.

“At the end of the day, if you want to win in the Major League Baseball, I don’t care, you can miss whatever you want, but if you don’t have pitch to support it, you will not gain long -term in the playoffs,” said Pierzynski.
With injuries to Montas and Manaea, these are the five starters that the dishes take place for their first five games:
- Holmes
- Tylor Megill
- GRIFFIN CANNING
- David Peterson
- Senga
Although he is worried about pitching staff, Pierzynski praised the food offensive.
“I think their alignment will be incredible. They brought back Pete (Alonso), whom I like, (Francisco) Lindor obviously, I think that (Mark) comes to be a student for them in daily programming. We have seen what he could do in the playoffs,” said Pierzynski.
