The Ministry of Religious Affairs has made an important decision regarding Hajj 2025, allowing private Hajj organizing companies and their subsidiaries to start booking for the pilgrimage and publishing details of private Hajj packages, Express News reported. According to a ministry spokesperson, reservations for the private Hajj program will be open from January 10 to 31. Various Hajj packages under the private program are available on the official website of the ministry. The spokesperson clarified that the basic Hajj packages under the private program range from around Rs 1.1 million to Rs 2.15 million. Private Hajj companies will process bookings in accordance with the agreements outlined in the SPA (Service Provision Agreement). Further, for packages exceeding Rs 3 million, the approval of the Hajj Policy Formulation Committee will be required. These packages must provide full details during the approval process. The spokesperson further said that personal data of people purchasing or selling Hajj packages exceeding Rs 3 million will be shared with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and other relevant authorities. Private Hajj pilgrims are advised to check their bookings through the ministry’s website and mobile application ‘Pak Hajj’ and ensure that payments are made only through the company’s designated bank account. It is also mandatory to request a service contract for the facilities provided. The ministry urged citizens to fully understand the facilities included in their Hajj packages before finalizing their booking.
