OPP Mpas Protest Avoid committees from the Punjab Chamber

Lahore:

Opposition legislators at the Punjab assembly organized a noisy demonstration outside the provincial legislature on Monday after four of their members were withdrawn from the presidency of the permanent committee through requests without confidence.

The four AMPs of the opposition – Ansar Iqbal (under suspension), which was president of the permanent committee of literacy and non -formal basic education; Rai Muhammad Murtaza Iqbal (in suspension), president of the Permanent Committee for Management and Professional Development; Saima Kanwal (in suspension), president of the Standing Committee for Special Education and Muhammad Ahsan, Chairman of the Permanent Colonial Committee – have been officially withdrawn from their posts.

The Punjab assembly adopted the respective movements of their evidence.

The decisions were finalized during the meetings of the respective permanent committees held on Monday, where the dismissal requests were discussed and voted.

While the procedures started in the House, the treasure legislators welcomed the moves, applauding this decision as a necessary fix. Government legislators have developed action as a step towards strengthening the parliamentary decorum and the reduction of disruptive and disruptive conduct of the opposition.

The PML-N MPA, Amjad Ali Javed, said that the president of the Punjab assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, had done everything possible to welcome the opposition, despite repeated provocations. “The speaker confirmed democratic traditions in the House … of traditions that had long disappeared,” he said.

Apart from the assembly building, the head of the opposition Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar condemned the layoffs and declared that the Chamber was directed not in accordance with the law but at the whim of a single family.

He questioned the justification behind the suspension of only 26 AMP for their protest during the speech of chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. “Why only 26 years old? We all protested. We should all have been suspended,” he said.

Bhachar said that the opposition would not remain silent and swore to raise his voice on each forum available against what he called “this injustice”.

He also questioned the speaker’s neutrality, accusing him of directing the house in a partisan manner, in violation of the established rules.

Opposition legislators gathered outside the assembly building, singing slogans against the government led by PML-N and denouncing what they have described as undocumented conduct.
