- The orange headphones ‘o’ edition MK II AN AND announced
- 40 mm drivers, battery life of 50 hours, Customable ANC and EQ with 10 bands
- $ 229 / £ 169 / approximately $ 352 in
Orange has announced new headphones, and I think there is a key tip again: even if they prove to be the best headphones ever made, they don’t look very orange.
What I mean by that is that Orange is one of the most recognizable brands of audio thanks to a very coherent visual style. Whether it’s a Thunderbird 50 guitar amplifier or the Orange Box Bluetooth speaker, if it’s orange, it’s orange.
But the new orange edition “O” MK II Anc is not. And its previous headphones were not either.
I think it’s a shame, because Orange has generally been very faithful to its history of several decades of emblematic amplifiers and orange color.
Marshall has always absolutely nailed this, so for example its latest Bluetooth speakers look like small Marshall amps, and its Bluetooth headphones resemble tiny marshall speakers stuck to your ears.
But in my eyes, these new orange headphones also seem to be Sony headphones in a personalized McLaren color. Marshall’s things are cool because he evokes rock and roll in a way that was linked in an indelible way to the design of guitar equipment – is that the atmosphere you get here?
Orange ‘o’ MKII Edition: Key characteristics and price
On the side excitement, the specification here seems to be decent: 40 mm of close vocal coil pilots, ANC with three predefined modes and integrated customization into the application, a customizable equalizer of 10 bands and touch controls on the right helmet.
There is Bluetooth 5.2, a 3.5 mm cable included for wired connections and up to 50 hours of autonomy – with a quick load of 15 minutes offering seven hours of play claimed.
And the price is also competitive: $ 229 / £ 169 / approximately $ 352 in. This complies with the Sennheiser Accentum Plus earphones or Sony Ult Wear – good mid -range products, and there is certainly a range for more consonance players in this region among the best anti -burning headphones.
The Orange headphones ‘O’ Edition MK II old are available for purchase now.
I understand why it is not bright orange in a world where headphones tend to be black or beige. But I always think it’s a bit like Nike sneakers without the Swoosh, Adidas without stripes, Netflix without the Tu-Dum: the reason why the orange amps are orange was to bring them out of their rivals either black.
