ISLAMABAD:
The Federal Ministry of Interior has canceled the regularization of 34 officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
These officers – who previously served in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) – were regularized in 2012 by a committee headed by Syed Khursheed Shah of the PPP.
According to a notification issued by the ministry, these officers will now be treated as contractual employees. The ministry also forwarded a copy of the notification to the Auditor General of Pakistan. Some FIA officials had filed a petition against these officers.
