The Baltimore Orioles dismissed the manager Brandon Hyde Saturday after the slow start of the 2025 team of the team after facing the title of the American League East last season.
Baltimore lost Friday against the Nationals of Washington, 4-3, and fell to 15-28 this season.
Betting the National Match against the Nationals, Baltimore was in the last place in the Al East.

“As manager of baseball operations, the bad start of our season is finally my responsibility,” said Vice-President and Director General of Orioles, Mike Elias, in a press release. “Part of this responsibility is to pursue difficult changes in order to define a different course for the future.
“I would like to thank Brandon for his hard work, his dedication and his passion all these years and for having returned the team to the playoffs and won an Al East championship. His many positive contributions to this organization and in Baltimore will remain, and we wish that he and his family the best.”
Hyde was in his seventh year as director of Orioles. He was with the team during the years of reconstruction, going 54-108 in 2019 and 52-110 in 2021. The bad seasons allowed the team to acquire Gunnar Henderson, Jackson Holliday and Adley Rutschman.

The Orioles were 101-61 in 2023 and 91-71 in 2024.
The team lost in the AL division series in 2023 and the AL joker series last year.
“Brandon Hyde is someone I got to know and admire deeply, not only for his in -depth knowledge of baseball, but also for his exceptional leadership as a manager,” said Orioles controlling owner David Rubenstein. “I am sincerely grateful for his important achievements in the past six years, which have greatly benefited the Orioles and the city of Baltimore.
“However, as is sometimes the case in baseball, the change becomes necessary, and we think it is one of these moments. The organization of the Orioles is really appreciated by everything that Brandon contributed during his mandate, and we only wish him success in any path he chooses in the world of baseball.”

Baltimore’s third base coach Tony Mansolino was appointed interim director.
