The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Saturday that most parts of the Sindh, including Karachi, will remain in the influence of a heat wave until May 20 due to high atmospheric pressure sustained in the region.
According to the Met Office, several Sindh districts will record temperatures significantly higher than normal. In Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad and Naushahro Feroze, temperatures should remain 5 to 7 ° C higher than the average.
Similar differences are expected in Jacobabad, Sukkur and the surrounding area, where Mercury can also remain 5 to 7 ° C above seasonal standards.
Meanwhile, temperatures in Badin, Tharparkar, Umerkot and Hyderabad should remain 3 to 5 ° C above normal levels during this period.
In Karachi, the weather will remain warm and humid over the next three days, with daytime temperatures probably varying between 35 and 37 ° C.
The Met Office warned that due to the high humidity, the temperature similar to the sensation will be higher than the recorded values.
