- The FIIO FX17 Intra-Auricular Monitors are extremely high-end intra-ear monitors
- 8 electrostatic pilots, 4 Ba Custom Knowles pilots per ear
- 3 connection options, including USB-C with an elite DAC
I think that Fiio engineers may have been on the Red Bull: how, apart from if you are absurdly too cracked, do you decide to put 26 speakers in a single pair of IEM?
They do not seem to have 13 pilots each, but the FIX FX17 does it – and they are there because Fiio wants to fully enjoy their different sound powers.
This means mixing electrostatic drivers, reinforcements and balanced dynamics to provide what Fiio dit is a “step forward generational in the IEM design”.
Drive, baby, drive
The FX17 have eight electrostatic drivers, four custom-made frame drivers with additional vents and a dynamic pilot in each bud, made with a lithium-magnet alloy. It is extremely light and extremely rigid, offering a very precise audio with vibrations and a considerably reduced resonance.
These pilots are packed in beautiful ground titanium shells with a single block and polished by hand, and they are connected via a cable three meters – gold, silver and copper – which is delivered with three swappable terminators: 3.5 mm, 4.4 mm balanced and USB -C.
This last connection includes an integrated DSP audio decoding chip which supports up to 32 bit / 384 kHz high resolution PCM. And it also allows you to customize the frequency curve of your FX17 via its eight -band high -precision PEQ, which you can control via the companion application or the web interface.
The FIIO FX17 will be at a price of £ 1,399 / $ 1,499 / approximately $ 2,873 to, which is a major high -end price to correspond to the specifications – we generally assess the incredible value that its products offer, such as the FIIO M11 or the FIIO FT5. This could still be a good value for money, just a completely different ending from the market … We are impatient to compare them to the best wired headphones after they are available from April 14.
