Marc-Alexis Côté, former head of Assassin’s Creed franchise, spoke about his sudden departure from Ubisoft after two decades with the company.

Côté clarified in a LinkedIn post that he had been asked to “step aside”, despite previous reports indicating he left following the creation of subsidiary Vantage Studios, for which he had apparently turned down a role.
