Pakistan Express

A preliminary investigation report on the derailment of Pakistan Express, which was on the road from Karachi to Rawalpindi, revealed that a bad interview of a Bogie led to the almost disastrous accident.

According to rail sources, the Bogie has undergone a “hot axle” dysfunction, an overheating problem that caused a critical pin. Consequently, the entire trolley under the Bogie has freed itself and detached itself.

The incident occurred Sunday morning near Mubarakpur, in the Multan railway division. While the train has avoided a major disaster out of pure chance, the damage was inflicted on at least two bogies and the track infrastructure.

According to railways, a dining car and a standard air-conditioned coach of the Pakistan Express 45-UP derailed. However, no passengers were injured in the incident.

Consequently, several trains from top to bottom have delayed hours in various stations in the Bahawalpur district.
