If you thought Lies of P: Overture It was the only substantial content element to come to one of the best soul games this year … Well, you thought badly. It is because P Lies is also defined to receive a free update which will be made available to all players – regardless of knowing if you buy the Opening Extension or not.
The update brings two new modes of difficulty to the game. The first is Butterfly’s advice, an easier difficulty option for those looking for a more relaxed experience. Then there is an awakened puppet, a more difficult option for players after a much more difficult game. The default difficulty that is in the game right now is to be renamed “Legendary Stalker”.
There is no word yet on the effects exactly on these modes of difficulty on Lies by P. But it is easy to imagine the scaling of damage for enemies and perhaps an increase or decrease in the density of the enemy depending on the difficulty you select.
The update also brings a mode of rush to the boss dedicated to the game. Named Battle Memories, you can access this mode at the Krat Stargazer hotel after eraser the game at least once.
Battle Memories will allow you to challenge the previously defeated bosses of the basic game and the game and the Opening DLC (downloadable content). Each boss has five levels of difficulty, with the harder levels 4 and 5 locked until you have erased the previous ones (you will have access to level 4 after beating level 3, for example).
The publisher Neowiz has also teased additional unlockable for those who wish to defy the hardest levels: “Who knows what the rewards expect those who overcome these hardening challenges?”
But that’s not all, because Battle Memories is associated with another mode called Death March. This mode challenges players to defeat a minimum of three bosses consecutively with a limited pool of articles and healing pulse cells. You can also define personalized scenarios here, by selecting the bosses you want to face. The difficulty levels of combat memories can also be applied here.
It looks like a very substantial update to accompany the next Opening expansion. With several difficulty options, bumpy rush modes and the unique reward potential, there is really something for everyone here.
Finally, this P Lies The update will arrive the same day as the Opening DLC was released, during the summer of 2025.
