- The lies of P: Overture will not develop the shock of the basic game of a post-key scene
- Presumably, this will be recorded for the possible follow -up of the game
- Director Jiwon Choi says the DLC will take 3 p.m.
It looks like P Lies‘s next Opening DLC will not be developed on the stunner of the basic game of a post-key scene.
The director of the game, Jiwon Choi, confirmed as much in a conversation with IGN at GDC 2025. Choi explained to the point of sale that the very theorized post-key scene has nothing to do with Opening, Addition: “Please listen to additional announcements in the future.”
What is more likely is that Neowiz will have this post-key scene as a basis for P Lies Continuation, which was also announced by the developer.
Although Choi has given nothing with regard to said continuation in his speech with IGN, he added that: “What I can certainly tell you is when we share such news or media and active with you, you will know with certainty that we are ready to present it to you.”
Spoilers for P LiesThe post-key scene is detailed below, read it at your own risk.
To watch
The post-key scene for P Lies states unequivocally that the next developer’s project will be theme The Oz assistant. Or, more likely, the material novel source The wonderful Oz wizard Written by L. Frank Baum. In the scene, we get a brief photo from Dorothy – the protagonist of the work – by clicking together on his emblematic red slippers.
The scene clearly gives that the global P Lies Universe will explore fairy tales in the public domain, as does the first game for The adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
Personally, I prefer the fact that the Opening DLC will continue to be based on the history of Pinocchio, with the Wizard of Oz Probably define to be saved for the future.
This would obviously give Neowiz a wider framework with which to explore Baum’s work and provide its own (probably very dark) turn on history.
In terms of Opening, However, Choi mentions that the DLC will take “experienced players” about 3 to 20 hours to beat, and that they should play again in the basic game to regain clues on what they can expect in the upcoming expansion.
