Karachi:
The Sindh Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the recent diversion of the Jaffar Express passenger train by a Balutch terrorist group, praising the security forces for their role in the annoyance of the attack and the rescue of all hostages.
The chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah filed the resolution during the session, chaired by Rehana Laghari. Shah denounced the loose attack while saluting the right intervention of the army. He called for the resolution to be adopted unanimously to transmit a unified national solidarity message in the face of terrorism.
The resolution received broad support through the assembly, the MPAS praising the coordinated efforts of the Balutchistan government, the Pakistani army and the law enforcement organizations for their bravery and their efficiency in the management of the situation.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Azra Pechuho, condemned the use of women and children as human shields during the misappropriation of the Jaffar Express, describing it as writing. She also denounced the spread of disinformation and negative campaigns on social networks concerning the incident.
PPP legislators, including Sardar Khan Chandio and Imdad Pitafi, have expressed their full support for the actions of the military against the terrorists. Chandio said Baloutche culture does not tolerate attacks on women and children, highlighting the cultural and moral repair of these acts.
Muhammad Farooq of Jamaat-E-Islami described the attack as part of a broader international plot, calling for the resolution of cases of forced disappearance and the pursuit of those responsible for the attack by Jaffar Express.
Local Minister Saeed Ghani described Pakistan’s “stab” attack. He praised the sacrifices of security agencies in the defense of the country and strongly criticized those who used to denigrate the armed forces, urging respect for the sacrifices of the martyrs of Pakistan.
Muhammad Mazahir, a member of the MQM-PP, recognized the heroic actions of the Pakistani army in the incident, but criticized some people to politicize the attack. PPP deputy, Taimur Talpur, raised concerns about an alleged external interference, in particular India and Afghanistan, in the destabilization of Balutchistan. He suggested that dialogue involving former premises could be essential to solve the problems of the region, and also condemned social media campaigns and anti-Pakistani media efforts attributed to India.
Opposition chief Ali Khursheedi expressed support for resolution, congratulating the Pakistani army and security agencies for their decisive actions. He urged the government to review the national action plan to strengthen efforts to prevent similar attacks in the future.
The Higher Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, stressed the time of the attack, suggesting that such incidents are orchestrated whenever Pakistan’s economy shows signs of improvement.
He recognized the historic grievances of the inhabitants of Balutchistan, saying that they were discussed by the Aghaz-e-Haqoq-E-Balochistan initiative Ali Zardari.
Sharjeel has expressed his conviction that certain external forces cannot tolerate the progress of Pakistan and are therefore at the origin of the conspiracies and attacks in progress.
