PAA refutes the closing rumors of Islamabad airport

Islamabad:

Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) denied media reports on Sunday saying that Islamabad international airport will be closed for eight days, calling them “incorrect and misleading”.

The authority said that the flight operations will only be suspended for two -hour intervals over specific days to facilitate rehearsals for independence day celebrations on August 14, PTV reported a PAA declaration.

According to an opinion of the aviators (NOTAM) issued by the PAA, the temporary flight restrictions will apply from August 6 to 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from August 11 to 14 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
