With Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers taking on his former team the Green Bay Packers as both teams looked for their fifth win of the season, things were bound to get heated at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night.
A massive on-field melee in the second half led to several refs taking hits to try to break things up.
The Packers held a 22-19 lead in the fourth quarter when Steelers linebacker Nick Niemann was flagged for inciting an altercation. As the penalty flag hit the turf, a big fight ensued with players from both teams participating.

Several players got involved and the referees were trying to calm the situation when two of them were thrown to the ground as the fight continued.
It all started when Pittsburgh’s Ben Skowronek was double-teamed by two Packers players on the opening kickoff. Nick Herbig came to defend Skowronek and pushed Bo Melton to the ground.

The game stopped for a moment while the referees sorted out the scuffle, and it was Steelers linebacker Nick Herbig who was ultimately assessed an unnecessary roughness penalty, resulting in a 15-yard gain for the Packers.
From that point on, however, the tension continued for both teams until the final whistle which saw the Packers emerge victorious, 35-25, in a game where Rodgers was attempting to become the fifth quarterback in NFL history to beat all 32 teams in his career.
It was the first time since being traded to the New York Jets that Rodgers faced the Packers, the team with which he won a Super Bowl and his four MVP awards. But his former apprentice Jordan Love was the better quarterback in this one, as he threw three touchdowns and 360 yards on the road Sunday night.

Two of those touchdowns went to tight end Tucker Kraft, who had a team-leading seven catches for 143 yards in the prime-time contest.
There were times, however, when Rodgers looked great for the Steelers, including touchdown passes to DK Metcalf and Roman Wilson. But several drives were blocked for Pittsburgh, leading to several field goal attempts by Chris Boswell, which kept the Steelers in the game.
The Packers also put pressure on Rodgers throughout the night, as Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary couldn’t stop getting into the backfield.
