PAF planes land in Saudi Arabia for ‘Spears of Victory’ war exercise

“seeks to improve interoperability with partner air forces and validate operational readiness”

A contingent of Pakistan Air Force, comprising F-16 Block-52 fighter jets and dedicated air and ground crews, arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia to participate in the multinational air combat exercise ‘Spears of Victory-2026’.

The exercise sees the participation of fighter aircraft and combat support elements from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, France, Italy, Greece, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, the United Kingdom and the United States, said a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“He said the exercise provides a strong platform to enhance interoperability, operational synergy, mutual understanding and capacity building among the participating air forces, particularly in large force employment, night composite air operations, integrated ISR and operations in advanced electronic warfare environments.

“By participating in this multinational forum, the Pakistan Air Force seeks to strengthen interoperability with partner air forces and validate its operational readiness in a contested and technology-driven battle space,” the press release said.

“For this international deployment, PAF fighter jets conducted a non-stop flight from their base in Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, demonstrating the long-range operational reach and expeditionary capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force.”

During the exercise, PAF pilots flying advanced F-16 Block-52 aircraft equipped with modern avionics and beyond visual range (BVR) capabilities will be pitted against participating air force crews operating a wide range of sophisticated combat aircraft.

The participation of the Pakistan Air Force contingent in the ‘Spears of Victory-2026’ not only reflects the PAF’s strong commitment to regional and international military cooperation, but also highlights its professional excellence.
