The UCONN women’s basketball program is where it belongs – at the top of the mountain.
The Huskies won their 12th national championship, which have all come since 1995, with an eruption of title champion of the South Carolina on Sunday afternoon.
In his last match before going to the WNBA, Paige Bueckers collected 17 points in Uconn’s 82-59 victory over the Gamecocks.

The Huskies led by 10 at halftime, while South Carolina struggled with the ground – they only had 26 points in the first 20 minutes.
But Azzi Fudd began to put the nail in the coffin in the third trimester, dropping 11 of his 24 points in the frame. Although it is the most score quarter in South Carolina to this point, it is also easily Uconn, which preceded the Gamecocks, 26-16, to take a 20-point lead towards the fourth.
The Huskies kept the foot on the pedal, however, coming out on an 18-6 race to open the quarter, effectively freezing the ball game. After that, the South Carolina took out its starters, although a large hand.
Bueckers and Fudd, with the starters, went out with 1:32 to do, and an emotional Bueckers shared a long embrace with the head coach Geno Auriemma. Bueckers has made each last last career, but never reached the summit before Sunday.

It was a South Carolina shooting performance would like to forget – before hitting two of their last three, they hit only 2 for 13 out of three. Uconn, however, pulled 48.4% of the soil.
Bueckers is probably the first global choice of WNBA draft next week. She even missed a season with a torn ACL that she suffered in 2022, but she will always become one of the largest in Uconn, which is already immortal to start.
The 19.9 BUECKERS per game are the most important in the history of UCONN, and she also had the third most important points in the history of female female through a career.

It has actually been nine years since the last title in Uconn, which has been their longest drought since he won his back 30 years ago. Previously, they had never spent more than five years without winning everything (from 2004 to 2009).
