Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has more than 4 million followers on Instagram and an additional 1.1 million followers on TikTok, but over the past two months, fewer posts have been made on her feed.

Spiranac explained his absence from social media during a Q&A with his Instagram followers last week. His last Instagram post was on January 26, and his last TikTok video was on October 24. She told her followers that she had been “a bit of a funk” recently.

“…And it’s not like it’s a one or two day thing,” Spiranac wrote on his Instagram Stories, via the New York Post. “This has been going on for a while. I feel like I’m so in my head about everything and I’m just trying to get through it. I think that’s why I haven’t posted as much because I’m overthinking everything and I just feel like my anxiety has taken over.

“I’m trying to get out of this and post more and get back to what I was doing before. I feel like I haven’t been active because I’ve just been in my own head, in this kind of funky rut and we’re working on it.”

Spiranac lamented that her audience and others had not seen her properly and said she thought she was “actually really misunderstood.”

Although she admitted that her “rut” has caused her to stay away from golf for a bit, she said that she hopes to create a more fun-oriented golf series in the near future.

Last month, Spiranac returned to social media to share a new hairstyle.

She recently took a break from social media after being embroiled in a cheating scandal at a golf influencer tournament. She said in November that she had received “tens of thousands of death threats” since the tournament’s championship match.

“The last week and a half is probably the worst hate I’ve ever received in the 10 years I’ve been doing this,” Spiranac said in a post on his Instagram Stories. “I’m talking about tens of thousands of death threats, people telling me to kill myself. The most vile, horrible things you could say to a person that were in my DMs to the point where we were talking about me needing to potentially get a restraining order.
