Paige Spiranac wants a controversial installation prohibited

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac declared a position on a debate on the course.

Aimpoint, a method to find a putting line on green, was criticized by those who do not use it, saying that it affects the rhythm of the game on the PGA Tour.

Spiranac is in this camp after what she saw during the LPGA tour – a player crossing his Aimpoint routine at a foot of the hole.

“Ban Aim Point,” published Spiranac on X on a photo of the LPGA tour player.

Slow Play was a controversial subject in golf recently, in particular with tournaments such as Open Farmers insurance taking almost six hours.

The Golfer PGA Tour Lucas Glover said on Siriusxm Pga Tour Radio that, although it is not proven that Aimpoint causes these problems of playing rhythm on the course, he can take too much time to obtain reading and the results are not better than other methods.

Tiger Woods has a mixture with TGL teammates, leading to a hilarious moment: “What are you doing?”

“Aimpoint statistically has not helped anyone to do more putts since its creation on the PGA Tour, the statistics have confirmed it,” said Glover.

Glover also pointed out how the method forces players to walk near the hole and return to the ball.

“It is also a little rude to be close to the hole and to trample, to know where the break is. It must be prohibited. It takes an eternity,” he said.

There are others, however, who believe that if Aimpoint was adopted by more, the game would evolve more quickly.

“This would accelerate the game because it takes an average of 10 seconds to read,” said the monthly golf course of the main instructor in Europe Jamie Donaldson.

Collin Morikawa, who uses Aimpoint, heard what Glover had to say and retorted with a proposed ban on “long putteurs”, which the latter uses.

Currently, the PGA will continue to allow Aimpoint, but the pace of play will continue to be a hot topic in the future.
