Kabul:
A trilateral meeting between Pakistan-Afghanistan and China agreed on Saturday on regional realignment and the extension of the Chinese-Pakistani Economic Corridor (CPEC) project in Afghanistan.
It has also been agreed from the strategic front that Indian influence in Afghanistan would be limited to diplomatic missions, if the alignment operated appropriately, sources said.
The decisions – were confirmed after a closed meeting among the minister of acting Aftromanes Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Chinese special envoy Yue Xiaoyong, and the special representative of Pakistan Mohammad Sadiq – report a daring movement towards regional realignment.
Sources have said that the Afghan Taliban had silently supported Islamabad’s position on the neutral investigation into the April 22 incident Pahalgam and would keep their distance from the Indian club.
After several meetings, including individual meetings Friday evening and Saturday, it was decided that the Afghan Taliban would host the sixth round of the trilateral talks of foreign ministers with China and Pakistan in Kabul.
These will be the first high -level negotiations to take place under the direction of the Taliban, added Source.
China and Pakistan also have support for green light to more in -depth political and economic cooperation with Afghanistan while putting the touch of Western influence in South and Central Asia.
Sources have declared that China would support the Islamic emirate of Afghanistan politically and economically, which will also be linked to regional countries through road links.
As part of the ongoing trilateral commitments, the Pakistan special envoy joined the Chinese special representative at a meeting with the Minister of Trade Afghan Azizi.
The special envoy qualified constructive and useful meetings to strengthen trade and economic cooperation. The three parties agreed to rely on the understanding of the trilateral level of May 2023 in Islamabad, in particular on the extension of the CPEC to Afghanistan.
Pakistan’s special envoy was to obtain support from neighboring countries in Pakistani-Indian conflict, regional connections on Chinese initiatives and destroying the IS-KP terrorist group of Afghan soil, added sources.
In an article on X, Ambassador Sadiq noted that the first Pakistani-Chinese-Afghanistan trilateral meeting provided an opportunity for the convergence of opinions on economic and security cooperation as well as regional stability.
